Triathlon Thanks

The organizers of TriRidgefield (Evan McGerald, director; Geoffrey Morris; John Proctor) would like to extend a huge thanks to all who participated and supported the 2nd annual TriRidgefield. Because of sponsor support, we are able to make a generous contribution to EJ’s House and the Boys & Girls Club. We’d like to thank First Selectman Rudy Marconi for his tremendous support, Parks & Recreation for Martin Park and the lifeguards, teams from Fire Chief Heather Burford and Police Chief Ligi. We also thank the volunteer fire department, fire police, and radio operators. Also thanks to Pete Hill and the highway department, and the Great Pond Corp.
Special thanks goes to all of the 75 or so volunteers who came out in mass to help us safely and efficiently navigate 400 athletes around the three legs of the course, and to Robin Caruso who did a fantastic job coordinating this volunteer effort.
We would like to thank all Ridgefield residents. Seeing people from various neighborhoods, cheering and offering water, was inspiring for the athletes, especially at 7 am. We look forward to running this event next year and for many years to come!
